HISTORY AND BIRTH OF KQHDA

In ’90 when homeopathy was just getting established in Karnataka in a professional way, few young doctors like Dr. Swamy, Dr. Praveen and others from the initial batches of GHMC, Bangalore approached Prof. Dr. B. D. Patel then principal of the college, to create a platform for the Homoeopathic fraternity. With the aim to create awareness on Homoeopathy, KARNATAKA QUALIFIED HOMEOPATHIC DOCTORS’ ASSOCIATION came into existence in the year 1992.

Since the establishment of the organization, Uninterrupted Continued Medical Education (CME) on the first Sunday of every month.
Awards a Gold Medal every year for the topper in Materia Medica during the Convocation of RGUHS sponsored by Prof Dr B D Patel.
Organizes National Seminar in the month of April every year to commemorate the birthday of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann.
To honor the Best Homeopathic Teacher, “Homoeo Acharya” every year since 2014.
Conducted several National Homoeopathic Conference and a Workshop on research in Homoeopathy with CCRH.
Conducted grand International Homoeopathic Conference in 2017 witnessed by more than 1000 delegates including foreign delegates.
Being service oriented to help the suffering humanity by organizing Free Homeopathic dispensaries, which are run by the professional Homeopathic Physicians.
Free Medical camps conducted in rural, urban and slums of metro cities for the benefit of suffering mankind.

The Event Marked a record break of over 1500 registrations in the history of KQHDA webinars, there were around 800 participants watching through Youtube and Facebook live and 492 participants watching through Zoom platform. Our first speaker Dr.B.D.Patel who spoke about the close similarity between Yoga and Homoeopathy, wherein mind and body is treated holistically. Dr Shreepad Hegde welcomed all Panelists and participants and gave a preamble on the topic and about the Panelists. The whole purpose of this webinar is to discuss about the vaccination, it’s types, its pros and cons, the mindset of confusion surrounding it, the fear of complications, why Ayush doctor’s are not taking vaccination etc.

The session began with a warm welcome of participants by KQHDA President Dr Chaitali G K. Followed by introduction of Dr Sanjay Panicker by Dr. Manisha. The topic for the day was ‘Homeopathic management of Vitiligo’. Dr Sanjay started with basics of vitiligo like definition and classification.The highlight of this part was the tips that he gave in between which were important for us as homoeopaths. For example the prognosis is better when it is focal or segmental vitiligo rather than generalized. Also vitiligo on fleshy parts with good blood supply heals faster than those on bony parts. A One day National seminar was organised by Karnataka Qualified Homoepathic Doctors Association (KQHDA) on 29th April , 2018, at MENTS auditorium from 9am to 5pm. The seminar was attended by senior, junior doctors, UG and PG students, students of Bhagavan Buddha college and Goverment Homoepathic college, Bangalore. The auditorium was full and we had to put extra chairs to accommodate the attendees.

The First CME for the year 2018, organized by KQHDA was held on 7th January 2018 at R V Teachers College at 3 pm.The Speaker was Dr. Sundaresh from Davangere who spoke on Bach Flower Remedies. Dr. Sundaresh gave an insight on Bach Flower Remedies and it's use in day to day practice.

The speaker was Dr. Joy Banerjee who spoke on Gall Bladder. There were good number of attendees. Dr. Joy explained the homeopathic management of gall stones with the help of cases. Nux Vomica proved to be useful in many of the cases. Constitutional works better along with specific depending on the cases.
