Blore PreCon of ICIO2020 (v1.2)

The Bangalore PreCon of GHF’s ICIO2020 turned out a great success as expected. The event was jointly organized by GHF and KQHDA and associated by IHMA Bangalore chapter and was held at Kent Hall of GHMC Bangalore on Nov 3d. Near 125 delegates attended this event inspite of a period close to Diwali celebrations across AYUSH colleges in region.

The inaugural session was attended by the organizers and associates. GHF was represented by its managing trustee Dr Sreevals Menon and ICIO2020 by its Convener-Scientific Commitee Dr Vinu Krishnan. KQHDA was represented by its patron Prof Dr B D Patel, Chairman Dr HL Swamy, President Dr Chaitali and General Secretary Dr Deeparaje, host GHMC Bangalore by Dr Guruprasad and IHMA Bangalore Chapter by Dr Thejaswi. Dr Sreevals Menon in his Icio2020 curtain raiser talk gave a detail account of GHF activities from inception and on the initiative of icio2020 and its peculiarities and the reasons why no medical professional should miss being a part of it. Dr H L Swamy introduced KQHDA while Dr Deeparaje delivered vote of thanks.

The event had a gracious presence of its Chief Guest Dr Anjanappa, the multiple Indian and International award winning renowned Onco Surgeon, Speaker apart from heading the Karnataka Cancer Society. His talk touched on the right notes of the crucial need of deriving priorities in Integrated views on Oncology Interventions.

Prof. Retd. Dr B D Patel, the patron of KQHDA and a nationally renowned teacher and speaker in Homeopathy spoke on the priorities of the fraternity in integrative approaches apart from making crucial remarks and pictorial representations of various aspects considering the careers of doctors across fraternities in connection with ethics and delivering on the crucial needs to society and their challenges.

Prof. Retd. Dr Sathyanarayan N Bhat, a big name within Ayurveda Circle and beyond as one with a galaxy of accomplishments in area of Dravya Guna and area od Plant Medicine Research had also served as the principal of Ayurveda College Mysore. He and his associate Dr Chitra spoke on crucial areas in Cancer intervention in the light of integrative approaches.

Asst. Prof. Dr Hamiduddin from National Institute of Unani Bangalore spoke on Unani medicine in Oncology as a Integrable model uncovering many areas of scope of Unani which was lesser known to other fraternities among audience.

Dr Depashree, a young and vibrant Expert and Graduate in Yoga Naturopathy working at HCG Cancer Centre amazed the audience with her rendering skills and focussing on various facets of the impact of Yoga Naturopathy interventions and integration referring to many situations and evidence based studies at the institutions she was involved with on work, thus pointing to a lot new directions the fraternity can help all others in their plight in Oncology.

Dr Vinu Krishnan, who inspired Kerala State Department of Homeopathy in Oncology interventions with homeopathy and led to the formation of the only cancer hospital in public sector in entire nation with all state of the art facilities gave the expert’s speech on the unique space of Homeoapthy in Oncology, the in-depth understanding of scope and deliverables based on evidenced approaches and minute evaluations. He also defined the scope in integrating with various renewed methods within Homeopathy and how well the area could be engaged into by Homeopaths with deep interests in the area. His rendering on the choice of areas in interventions by AYUSH against the good scope of conventional medicines and allied and coexisting clinical and quality of life and health indexes areas was taken by all as a unique revelation of a very different but in-depth outlook in looking at Oncology from Homeopathy and Integrative perspective. His two decades hardwork and experience in the area and his concluding with remarks on need of ICIO2020 to be attended to or followed by every AYUSH and other medical doctors, did find deep inroads into the audience’s understanding.

The final session of open paper presentation found near 8 papers from Homeopathy and Unani areas with experts from ICR Bangalore presenting their works and young dynamic graduate Homeopaths speaking on Oncology. Among Unani experts in open session was Dr Arshiya from National Institute of Unani with about 60 published papers to her credit apart from being honored by many young researcher.

The event concluded with a short valedectory session by 3 30 PM. Great interest from among organizers, delegates and college in associating with ICIO2020 was felt from the feedbacks.
