Mental Health In And After Covid-19 Pandemic – Role Of Homeopathy & Homeopath In Prevention & Care

KQHDA organised a free CME webinar on 24th MAY 2020 through Zoom platform which was attended by 408 participants from all over Karnataka, Kerala, Chennai, UP, MP, Maharashtra, Rajashthan and other parts of India. Regional secretaries of KQHDA, Dr Amit Rolli and Dr Uttam Kumar Shetty introduced the most eminent speakers of the session, Prof. Dr K Dhawale ( Founder-Trustee of Dr M L Dhawale Memorial Trust) and Prof. Dr Manoj Patel, Prof and HOD( Psychiatric Dept &Director ( Community health Service) at , Dr M L Dhawale Memorial Trust. The webinar started with Ganesh Prayer by Dr Pratima and was hosted and coordinated by Dr Shreepad Hegde and Dr Sanjay Panicker. Dr Hegde thanked all KQHDA members for their noble service of free distribution of immunobooster all across Karnataka and announced the upcoming Webinar ” Prevent Future Corona” on 28th May by Prof Dr B D Patel. Dr Dhawale in coordination with Dr Manoj Patel started the scientific session by explaining the Mental Health Morbidities affecting the community during an epidemic such as fear, anxiety, depression, Mass hysteria, prolonged isolation, suicidal etc. and our preparedness to deal with it through positivity such as staying connected, staying fit through yoga and meditation. With cases presentations, Dr Manoj Patel discussed how an acute prescription, understanding the mental constitution of the patient during Covid, followed by constitutional remedy would help treat a patient in this pandemic. Post CoVid we all have to get accustomed to the new normal and develop a strong resilience towards the situation. Dr Dhawale also highlighted the stress in doctors due to long duty hours. Every homoeopath should be trained in dealing with Mental health care and be prepared for telehomoepathy which may be the future. The session concluded with Prof Dr B D Patel alerting the homoepaths regarding increase in number of patients who would have misused the immunobooster Arsenic Album. All Participants received the webinar positively as educative and informative. The webinar ended with vote of thanks by Prof. Dr Shreepad Hegde to the speakers as well and the coordinators.
