The webinar started with Shangunadham by our patron Prof Dr B.D Patel creating positive vibration and aura.
Dr Deepa Amar gave the welcome speech, Dr B.R Srinivas and Dr H.L Swamy were introduced by Dr Tejasvi and Dr Shilpa Satish respectively.

Prof. Dr B.R Srinivas [Reader/HOD dept of Pharmacy, BBHMC Bangalore, former president KQHDA explained in detail about 50 millesimal scale of potency as described by Hahnemann in 6th edition of organon, brief history of how it came to existence, introduction of it in India from West Bengal, list of number of books written on it. When Hahnemann termed the new method as “renewed method of dynamization”, it was Pierre Schmidt of Geneva who named it as “50 millesimal potencies”.

He explained Hahnemann’s dissatisfaction with centesimal scale of potency which led to arrive at 50 millesimal scale, its advantages and special characteristics compared to centesimal and decimal scale, its preparation, dosage, administration of medicine, repetition of doses, very few disadvantages and precautions were put forth in detail which was indeed a revision for students and practitioners.  Prof Dr H.L Swamy M.D[Hom], former principal AHMC Bangalore, chairman KQHDA] started his session with a Sanskrit verse and also a quote by Herman Melville which explains the utmost importance given to human eye. He shared a wonderful case of total loss of vision in left eye and 80% loss of vision in right eye in a 36yr old lady due to Multiple sclerosis, homoeopathic medicines Syphillinum CM and Alumina 30 helped to get back her vision more than 90% and a happy testimonial video of patient was shared.

He explained in detail how different parts of the eye react in common disease conditions of the eye and its therapeutics and complications like blepharitis, chalazion/stye, ptosis, conjunctivitis and dry eyes. The session was concluded by Dr B D Patel who said most of the practitioners all over the world use centesimal potency and it was Dr Kent who popularized higher potencies, but he was no more to see the 6th edition of organon and thereby 50 millesimal scale potency was not seen by him.

Dr Shreepad Hegde took over the floor discussion and encouraged students and doctors to do research on 50millesimal potency as very few practitioners use it all over the world and few doctors shared their experience of using 50millesimal potencies in clinical practice.
