KQHDA conducted a free webinar on. 05.07.2020 on Management of COVID-19 in Homeopathic Hospital, by eminent speakers, Dr Pradeep Kumar Gupta, MD, Principal, Naiminath homoeopathic medical college, Hospital and research centre, Agra, and Dr Farooq Motiwala, MD Principal of Motiwala homoepathic Medical college and hospital, Nashik.
Prof Dr Shreepad Hegde welcomed the speakers followed by invocation by Dr Anju Jagwani. Prof Dr H L Swamy wished everyone on Doctor’s Day and paid respect to all the Gurus.
Dr Sanjay Panicker introduced the first speaker of the session, Dr Pradeep Kumar Gupta, who shared his experience in treating COVID cases and reaching to a genus epidemics in Agra and UP. He had to face quite a lot hurdles before he was granted permission to conduct trials.
The clinical trials, started on 05.05.2020, were conducted on Patients in isolation ward at F H medical college Agra. As per symptomatology, Bryonia 200 was prescribed, and patients who were given Bryonia recovered in 3 to 4 days and were COVID negative on day 4 and day 5, while on placebo still had symptoms and were COVID positive even on Day 7. For patients on ventilator Arsenic Album 1M was given by olfaction.
On the basis of above trial results, Bryonia 200 was taken as Genus Epidemicus and was given as prophylactic from 16th May to 15th June. Currently his team is following up with the patients who were given Prophylactic as well as are in touch with the patients who were treated to make sure there is no relapse or any secondary symptoms.
The 2nd Speaker, Dr Farooq Motiwala , Founder of Motiwala Homoepathic College and Hospital was introduced by Dr Manisha Chopra.
Dr Motiwala share his experience treating COVID cases with Arsenic Album 30 and 200 in Nashik and Malegoan. His team called it as Malegaon mission. Dr Motiwala and his team visited the quarantine care centres, gave the Arsenic Album 30 to around 1,33,046 people. They even sprayed Arsenic Album 30 in different areas of Malegaon. Few positive cases were also given Bryonia and other remedies as per symptomatology. His team of doctors and Interns are following up with the patients as well as all the people who were given Arsenic Album 30.
The sessions ended with words of appreciation by Prof Dr B D Patel and vote of thanks by Dr Saranya Mallya. All the participants were happy and thanked the speakers to have enlightened them on treatment of COVID cases.
